Amba Warlord Capo Daniel Drops Gun to Embrace None Violence

Ngong Emmanuel much popularly known as Capo Daniel who is one of the warlords fronting for a divided Cameroon, has announced a cessation of violence in the path to a divisible Cameroon.
Capo Daniel, as Chairman of the “Ambazonia Peoples’ Rights Advocacy Platform” issued a press release on May 4th, 2024, announcing his new moves with regards to pursuing the cessation of the Northwest and Southwest Regions as an independent country, from the Republic of Cameroon. Stating his reasons in the communiqué, he said
“The Peoples Rights Advocacy Platform delays that after a cabinet session. Its members have unanimously adopted a resolution to end all hostilities against the Cameroon state in regard to the Ambazonia conflict. We have resolved to choose the nonviolence approach to our fight for the right of self determination of the English-speaking people in Cameroon (Ambazonian). We call on all our forces to stop all hostilities and hold their weapons for self defense purposes until a negotiated settlement with the Cameroon government is achieved.”

In the communiqué, Capo Daniel, goes further to cite the blunders of multiple armed groups fighting for cessation of two regions to form a state called Ambazonia “The peak of the rise of armed groups in our territory has come and gone without us taking advantage due to our divisive dynamics to coordinate a decisive push-away of the Cameroon military presence. We have also not been able to translate international sympathy to our subjugation into recognition of Ambazonia independence declaration and there no longer any chances of Ambazonia independence recognition.”

Capo Daniel says it is time to heed to the population which is crying for an end to violence and “end the war for a negotiated settlement.”
” Our population has rejected extreme groups and some of our soldiers have performed protest match to reject the emerging extreme nationalism amongst us. The lack of a negotiated settlement will mean a perpetual endless circle of violence in our territory.” Capo Daniel explains his reasons for the end to violence in the communiqué
The Ambazonian advocate has also voiced out his plea for people to join him in lobbying for negotiations, the freedom of political prisoners and the safety of refugees and IDPs
