Emmanuel Nji, is the new FECAFOOT President in Menchum to act as interim. He was appointed on March 25th by Blaise Djounang, Secretary General of FECAFOOT. Speaking to pressmen on the occasion of his appointment, he declared the intention to rekindle football in the Division by resuscitating clubs that are comatose but were once performant. He invites elites to put hands on deck for football glories in Menchum. Expressing his ambition, he said “Before I came in, others have been there, I appreciate what they have done, and I’m just coming in to make my input as far as football is concerned in the Division. Bafmeng United is doing well, that’s the first club at the verge of getting into Elite One which means we have a challenge to get other clubs to the game. I think that Menchum Eagles have been in the cold for too long and i think it’s an opportunity for us to bring back Menchum Eagles to the lamplight. A certain Wallang Jonas in 1999 led Menchum Eagles to the Interpoles but after his death, Menchum Eagles became a shadow of itself. I think this is an opportunity to bring those clubs from Menchum Division back to the lamplight and as President of FECAFOOT Menchum, it is an opportunity to encourage my elites back home that Menchum Eagles and other clubs should be bounce back and work so that together we can celebrate football in Menchum Division” the provisional president detailed.
Mr Nji said elites should be willing to sponsor football activities. He told the press that he counts on the continues collaboration of Samuel Eto’o, National President of FECAFOOT.
The Provisional Management Committee to coordinate FECAFOOT activities in Menchum Division include; President: Emmanuel Nji, Vice-President: Ojang Stephen and Secretary General: Viyof Njsh Elvis.
The new FECAFOOT team in Menchum make up other teams set up on March 25th, by the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) for the spearheading of football in the Northwest Region of the country.
Blaise Djounang, Secretary General of FECAFOOT named a three man team of President, Vice President and Secretary General for each Division of the Northwest. The choice of the interim was done after considering the security situation of the Region, according to local sources.
