Apostle John Chi, Founder of the Ark of God’s Covenant Ministry (AGCOM) offered three million francs cash, one thousand bags of rice, plastic bowls, buckets and wheel chairs to poor Muslims in Yaounde. They were essentially muslims of the Briqueterie neighborhood in Cameroon’s Capital City. The Man of God came under the banner of his Charity Organization known as the “John Chi Foundation”
Hundreds of needy persons gathered at Government Primary School Ekoudou, Briqueterie, on February 9th, 2024, where the Apostle of Christ communed with them in solidarity and fraternity. At his arrival for the distribution of gifts, John Chi, was warmly welcomed by the Muslim community and some state dignitaries.
He kept a close touch with the people; shaking hands, embracing and patting them. Those with walking impairment were seen crawling towards John Chi with smiles on their faces. The apex of this emotional connection was when the Man of God handed wheel chairs to some of those who were cripples.
The charity continued with the distribution of gifts in cash, sealed in envelops to each of the hundreds of person. Apostle John Chi, shared a total of two million francs cash while he handed the remaining one million francs to be put into the community safe, to take care of the sick. Each of them also received a bag of rice and a bowl or bucket. Talking to the people, John Chi, told them that his gestures are centered on humanity and meant to spread God’s love.
“John Chi Foundation is all about love in our hearts and works in our hands. John Chi Foundation is all about a nation to build, a world to change. You and I are included. It’s all about using our gifts to reach out to a troubled world. It is the primary instinct of every human being to love everyone that God has created. So we are created to make a tangible contribution in the life of someone in need. Therefore we have to express love. We are here to express our love”
The Apostle continued that times are hard, reason why he is reaching out to the less privilege, the physically challenged, the orphans, the widows and the widowers in order to improve on their well-being. “If one is waiting for a more convenient time, that more convenient time would never come so the time is now to reach out to the less privilege; those who cannot afford for themselves. Since 2013 we have been on this. So it is our responsibility to make sure that we put quality smiles on people’s faces” John Chi said.
The gratitude of the people was expressed through the community head, in the person of Djibril Amadou.
He thanked The John Chi Foundation, noting that, It is a great gesture and praying that God multiplies the source of the things. About the John Chi Foundation, the Executive Director, Dr. Mariam Kairi Ezoleme, said it was created to give back to humanity. “God who has created us, has given us so much and the only way we can give back to God is to give back to the community and to give back to the less privilege people. John Chi Foundation is just beginning, we have plans to go to all other communities. John Chi Foundation is not only created for Cameroon. We are going to go all round the world to give back to humanity” she said. The charity by John Chi Foundation, to needy Muslims in Yaounde on Friday, marked the second time of donation by the foundation to that community. The Man of God hopes that, it would transform their lives physically and spiritually.
