Dr. Moussa Oumarou, General Coordinator of the Council of Imams and Muslim Dignitaries of Cameroon (CIDIMUC) led prayers for peace and prosperity upon Cameroonians this Friday January 12, 2024. The session had the presence of Cameroon’s Minister of Territorial Administration, Atanga Nji Paul, who personally represented the Head of State Paul Biya. Also present were Imams from the ten regions of the country, members of the diplomatic corpse and lay muslim faithful.
In solemn religious gestures, Imam Moussa Oumarou, entreated Allah for good health upon President Paul Biya and upon the Minister of Territorial Administration alongside other members of government who are charged with state responsibility. He implored the all powerful Allah to protect, guide and preserve Cameroonians. As he continued, he interceded that Allah binds Cameroonians together in unity, put an end to division, hatred, injustice, violence, terrorism and tribalism. He repeatedly mentioned the Northwest, Southwest and Far North Regions of the country troubled with unrest, that the peace of Allah may reign upon them anew. Imams from the ten Regions joined in the Intercessory prayers with the same petition that was said in the fashion of a mantra. The General Coordinator of CIDIMUC, thanked Minister Atanga Nji for being present and that Allah pours out his benediction on all throughout the year 2024.
