People found the body of Passi Christopher, lying at the locality of 4 corners, in Baligashu on the morning of November 25th, 2023. It is said that his corpse was dropped there by his murderers.
Passi Christopher Dobah, Second Deputy Mayor of Balikumbat Council, was first kidnapped by a terrorist separatist group during the funeral of his brother in Baligashu on the 11 of November 2023, according to official reoport.
He was murdered while in captivity on November 24th. “The Balikumbat Council executive members and staff learned with consternation the gruesome murder in cold blood of Mr. Passi Christopher Dobah, the Second Deputy Mayor of Balikumbat Council on the evening of Friday the 24th of November 2023” a press release issued on November 25th by the sitting Mayor read.
The press release further “condemn in very strong terms this shameful and degrading act done to Mr. Passi Christopher Dobah, a selfless and development oriented elite of the Municipality”
Councilors of the Balikumbat Municipality are calling on the government to investigate into the assassination with a corresponding enforcement of the law.
