Robert Ngong, a wood cutter was disfigured by an ape in Esu today 16th November 2023 around 2pm. A chimpazee pounced on him, injuring both hands and face when he was felling a tree. The forehead, mouth and temple were wounded. Medics at the Esu Health District applied treatment and then referred him to another hospital. In 2022, a man whom CIT got his name as Laggi survived a Chimpazee attack in Esu but it left him completely deformed. In 2021, Ntong Eja, died after a chimpazee cut off his fingers and legs, tore his face and ripped off his toes.
