2023 is a jubilee year for Wum Municipality. Wum Municipal Council has clocked seventy five years. Feasting has been scheduled for December 11 to 17 2023. It is envisaged to be a magnificent feast, given the activities programmed. Activities to mark the celebration was made known on Saturday September 9th, during a planning meeting, Chaired by Dighambong Anthony Mvo, Mayor of Wum Municipal Council.
The Mayor declared that, “Wum shall be the center of attraction”
During the weeklong 75th anniversary celebration, Wum shall shine with a maize festival, a cross country walk, cultural bonanza, contest for Miss Wum Municipality, workshop, quiz competition, human investment, a football game, an ecumenical service and humanitarian action with visit to the hospital and prison amongst other interesting things.
To achieve a successful celebration, committees have been put in place. They include the finance, socio cultural, sport, biography, health, protocol, decoration, security, sports and external affairs committees.
These committees are composed of elites and experts. They have the task to mobilise and prepare for a don’t miss out event.
The Mayor has called on active forces “to set to work and make Wum Council, the center of attention in Cameroon”
