Fire has destroyed more than 56 Sheds at a market in Fundong, a press release from the Mayor said.
“Night vigils discovered the fire outbreak a little after midnight on Friday, February 3, 2023. It was a few minutes after the return of electricity following a blackout suffered since 4pm on Thursday, 2nd February,2023”
The press release pointed the cause of the fire.
The Fundong Council led by its Mayor Denis Awah Ndang has set up an emergency disaster fund to assist victims of the fire disaster.
