Mukuru Visits Mankon, Honours Transit of Traditional Authority

A visit by people of Mukuru to Mankon Royal Palace, has revived relationship between the two clans.

H.R.H Fon Njinda Nelson II of Mukuru led a delegation of his clan to Mankon, to honour the transition of traditional authority from Fon Angwafo III to Fon Angwafo IV

They had gifts of goats, palm oil, palm wine and kola nuts for Mankon.
Among them were dignatories of Mukuru including Ihimbru Solomon kudi- Mayor of Benakuma Council, Kum Henry -Regional Coordinator of DDR Center Northwest and His Excellency Ofon Mathias- retired diplomat, sub chiefs and leaders of Development associations.

At the palace, the people of Mukuru danced their indigenous “uku” a folklore dance performed with three “special drums”

Fotoh Titus Abah, Spokesperson for the Fon of Mukuru who was part of the trip to Mankon says the visit was a symbol of solidarity
“We have so many people from Mukuru living in Mankon. We have about eight women of Mankon married to Mukuru men. Our visit was a sign of showing concern. Also the Fons of Mukuru and Mankon all belong to the Fons union. More over, Fon Angwafo IV who got missing grew up in Befang, which is close to Mukuru”

Mukuru is a clan, situated in Menchum Valley, Northwest Region of Cameroon meanwhile Mankon is a clan in Mezam Division, Northwest Region of Cameroon. The two share a history of friendship.
